Will Çağatay Ulusoy play the great fighter?

The journalist Ranini confirms that the film about Koca Yusuf, that was announced by Turkish media with much fanfare two years ago is still on the agenda.  Recall that we still do not know who will be shooting this film and with whom Çağatay Ulusoy signed the contract. Yusuf Ismail is a very real historical figure who became known in Europe and the United States in 1890 as Yusuf the Terrible – one of the most legendary athletes who made wrestling popular throughout the world and especially in the USA. The life of an athlete ended tragically – he became one of the passengers of the La Bourgogne liner, which crashed and sank during the transition from America to Europe. During a shipwreck, 561 people died, and the survivors told legends about Yusuf, who until the last minute helped people escape from inevitable death.

As we already understood, Çağatay’s character will meet heroic death in the film. For the role, the actor will have to gain weight, because Koca Yusuf weighed 138 kilograms.
