What series will make the final at the end of the 2019 season?

Every year at the end of the television season, viewers are looking forward to which of their favorite projects will go to the next season, and which ones will close. In the season 2018-2019, Turkish viewers will definitely say goodbye to the following projects:

Resurrection: Ertuğrul / Diriliş: Ertuğrul has 9.06 million viewers on average (143 episodes released, final on the 150th episode). The most popular Turkish television series of the last five years will make the final on May 29 and will return to the air with a new title Diriliş: Osman next season.

The Oath / Soz has 7.46 million viewers on average. The series will make the final at the end of season 3 on the 84th episode. The most popular project of the TV channel Star TV was too expensive to produce. Patriotic themes do not allow to successfully sell it abroad, as a result, even excellent ratings did not save the series from closing. The new series of Timur Savсi “These crazy Turks” will replace The Oath on the channel Star TV.

Our Story / Bizim Hikaye has 5,22 million viewers on average (65 episodes released, final on the 72nd episode). A remake of the popular American project “Shameless”, that for two years gave its fans wonderful emotions, leaves with excellent ratings, becoming a hit TV show and leaving a pleasant aftertaste. Given that the rating allows the series to go on next season, such a closure is attributed to the leading female performer Hazal Kaya, who could not work further. There are a variety of rumors about the reasons for such a decision, one of which is that the actress is allegedly pregnant. Like it or not, we will know very soon.

Gülperi has 5.08 million viewers on average (28 episodes released, final on the 30th episode). The project started briskly and went fine until it became a victim of a new super hit – the Hercai series, that took away the most of the spectators on Friday. As a result, the channel decided to quickly turn off the show, not even reaching the end of May.

Courtyard /Avlu has 4.83 million viewers on average (37 episodes released). Alas, the rating of the series was not good enough for Star TV to give the go-ahead for the next season. Fans of the project still hope that the Internet platforms (Netflix or BluTV) will save it, but hope looks dim.

Evermore / Istanbullu Gelin – 4.08 million viewers on average (80 episodes). The series, that was quite average in Turkey but aroused great interest around the world, will make the final as expected earlier on Friday, May 31 at the 87th episode.

My daughter / Kizim has 3.95 million viewers on average (27 episodes). Another Hurricane victim named “Hercai.” TV8 owner Acun Ilicali and producer Fatih Aksoy decided to finish the project and concentrate all their forces on the new series starring Cansu Dere, that should become the new flagship of the channel.

Crash / Çarpışma has 3.09 million viewers on average (17 episodes). As stated from the beginning, the series will consist of only one season. Moreover, the ratings do not allow the continuation of the story. According to rumors, the star of the series Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ will sign the contract with the Netflix Internet platform.

Ring / Halka has 2.62 million viewers on average (13 episodes released). The situation with the show is not yet clear. The producer declares that the project will be renewed for the second season. However, the management of the TV channel does not want to take it yet. There is information that the Internet platform became interested in the project and maybe it will continue on Netflix or another digital platform, but so far this all remains at the level of rumors.

Elite / Jet Sosyete has 2.40 million viewers on average (36 episodes). Comedy is the most difficult genre, alas, the creators of the series failed to make people laugh for 2.5 hours every week. Its author and leading actress Gülse Birsel has already vowed never to get involved with TV shows again.

The Guard / Nobet has 2.50 million viewers on average (6 episodes released, final on the 8th episode). The rebuilt city, fitted appliances, government funding will not save the series, which lacks the most important thing – a good script.

The fate of the Kuzgun series remains unknown (3.65 million viewers on average, 10 episodes). Most likely the project will not be able to go with such ratings for the next season.
