As a rule, Turkish scriptwriters are fairly free to handle the material they need to adapt to the domestic market. That is why for a very long time the creators of the series Devious Maids did not give the right to remake their show to Turkish producers. Finally, however, a compromise was found.

TV company Fabrika Yapım has signed a contract under rather tough conditions: the adaptation will be as close as possible to the original, although the format in this case is obviously not Turkish. Maybe that’s why the TV channel for the show has not yet been found. The working title of the Turkish TV series is Maids / Hizmetçiler.
