Turkish actors who will be back in the new season

Every year with the beginning of the autumn-winter television season the stars who are eagerly awaited by viewers not only in their own country but also far beyond its borders return to Turkey’s screens. Whom will we see in the new autumn-winter season of 2019-2020? Here is a list of the most high-profile returns of the upcoming season.

Beren Saat

After the unsuccessful show The Magnificent Century. Kesem / Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem, Beren Saat left show business for almost four years, while remaining one of the most beloved stars of the Turkish screen. It is not surprising that her return has been waiting for a long time and with great impatience. The actress will return in a big way with the new fantasy series produced by OG Medya for Netflix Atiye / The Gift. The series will be released simultaneously in 190 countries of the world. There are also such big names as Mehmet Günsür, Metin Akdülger and Melisa Şenolsun in the cast of the series. The premiere of the first season is scheduled for December 2019, the second season will be released next year.

Halit Ergenç

In the two years that have passed since the final of the historical series Wounded Love / Vatanim Sensin the audience has missed the sultan of the Turkish screen. Halit Ergenç during this time took part in several films, including becoming a guest star in the Egyptian film “Casablanca”. And now, according to very reliable sources, he is returning to television as Professor Irfan in the new series of Ay Yapim company Babylon / Babil. Director of the film is Uluç Bayraktar who is considered as one of the most talented directors in the action genre. Previously, he worked on such serials as Ezel, Karaday and Içerde.

Engin Akyürek

Burak Özçivit received worldwide recognition after the release of the TV show Magnificent Century. Thereafter, he won the love of spectators with his work in the series Endless Love / Kara Sevda. Burak left the television for a long two years. And now, finally, his fans can breathe a sigh of relief: the actor returns. And it’s promised to be big comeback: he will appear before the viewer in the guise of a fearless warrior, the creator of the Ottoman Empire, Osman Gazi.  Of course, for Burak this is a great chance to prove himself in the sequel of the most popular Turkish series of the last five years, the Resurrection Ertugrul / Diriliş Ertugrul. However, he takes a big risk: after all, the audience will compare Resurrection Osman / Diriliş Osman with Ertugrul.

Engin Altan Düzyatan

As many believed, after the completion of the five-year marathon on the TV series Resurrection Ertugrul / Diriliş: Ertuğrul Engin Altan Düzyatan will necessarily take a break for at least a year. However, when the producers of Most Production made him an offer to play a leading role in the new series Bullet / Kurşun, the actor could not refuse. This time he will continue to fight against the injustice of this world, but the plot will take place in the 70s of the last century.
