24th Golden Lens Awards Ceremony

The 24th Golden Lens / Altın Objektif Ödülleri Award Ceremony from the Association of Journalists, which is awarded to famous film, theater and television figures, was held in Istanbul on November 5. What projects received the trophy?

The series The Bitter Lands, The Money Trap and The Protector received the most awards at the ceremony. The Netflix TV series “The Protector” became the undisputed favorite among the Internet projects. It was awarded for the best Internet project of this year, the best actor (Çağatay Ulusoy) and the best actress (Hazar Ergüçlü). Hazar was present at the ceremony personally, but Çağatay, alas, could not get his award, as he was on the set of his film in Kirklareli.

Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ received the award for best movie actor for his role in the film “The Money trap” / Organize İşler Sazan Sarmalı. Note that Kıvanç played an unusual comedic character in the movie, and showed himself brilliantly, so the award is fully deserved. The actor told reporters that he had a good rest and is now considering proposals for a new job. Also, Bensu Soral received the award as the best actress. She was a co-star of Kıvanç in the movie. Not surprisingly, The Money trap became the best film of the year.

Çağlar Ertuğrul and Burcu Özberk received the awards as the best comedians for their work in the series  “Love for show” / Afili Aşk, but the award for the best romantic series went to the project “You are Everywhere” / Her Yerde Sen. Alas, the award did not help the series, the news about its canceling on the 23rd episode came the next day.

Akın Akınözü received the award as the best dramatic actor of the year. He warmly thanked his fans for his first trophy. Deniz Uğur who plays one of the leading roles in the TV series Brutal Istanbul / Zalim Istanbul became the best dramatic actress.  The series “Miraculous Doctor” / Mucize Doctor was recognized as the best dramatic series of the year.

The main awards of the ceremony went to the series “Bitter Lands” / Bir Zamanlar Çukurova, that was recognized as the best series of the year. Murat Ünalmış, Uğur Güneş and Hilal Altınbilek received awards as the best series trio. Vahide Perçin and Kerem Alışık were named the best actor and actress of this year.
