Oscar: does a Turkish film stand a chance?

The American Film Academy changed the rules this year. In the category of the best foreign film, not 10, but 15 films will be shortlisted, and all members of the academy will be able to vote for them, and not just the jury, as it was before. Voting will take place from February 1 to February 5 and a short list of films will be announced that will be eligible for this year’s nominations. Oscar’s nominations will be announced on March 15, with the ceremony taking place on April 25. It should be reminded that this year Turkey has nominated the film “Miracle in the cell N 7” starring Aras Bulut İynemli.
