TV series Behzat Ç. – new season and new star

The detective series Behzat Ç. is one of the most successful TV shows in the history of Turkish television. Not surprisingly, the news of the new version of the popular project has stirred up Turkish social networks.

Producer Doruk Acar, known for his work on the series Wolf, Wolf 2039, and the films Mountain 2, Good Game, and Insignia Yapım are preparing to re-launch the popular Turkish TV series Behzat Ç. The script of the project is based on the new book by Emrah Serbes about the adventures of the famous Commissioner Behzat Ç Çekiç ve Gül / Hammer and Rose.

Cast selection is under way. The author of the book, Emrah Serbes, will act as the scriptwriter, director and co-producer of the project. Of particular interest is the question of who will play the main role in the project (recall that earlier this role was played by Erdal Beşikçioğlu). The creators of the series intend to make three seasons in the style of James Bond. That is, in each season the role of Behzat Ç. will be played by a new actor.

It is not yet known whether the show will be released on the platform or on free television, however, given that the series is consistently at the top of Turkish Netflix’s most popular projects throughout the year, most likely, it was the digital platform that made the order.
