The Gift / Atiye

At the first hearing in the 2nd Istanbul Court of Intellectual and Industrial Rights, the judge considered the lawsuit filed by plaintiff Yonca Eldener vs OG Production Media Company. The writer accused the company of using Yedi Uyananlar as the basis for the script for Atiye / The Gift without paying her due royalties. Ms Eldener demanded compensation in the amount of 92 thousand Turkish lira and an injunction against the publication of the series on the platform. The court rejected the motion to ban publication and postponed the hearing to a later date for the defendant to provide the necessary evidence in its defense.
