The film Paper Lives / Kagittan Hayatlar is sued
Another who wants to get quick fame due to someone else’s success – “director” Temel Arda Karsli (director in quotation marks, since did a single 20-minute film released in 2015) decided to sue the screenwriter Ercan Mehmet Erdem, OGM Pictures, Netflix and Los Gatos Turkey demanding compensation in the amount of 20 thousand Turkish lira and to take off the film Paper Lives / Kağıttan Hayatlar from Netflix, since, according to this gentleman, his script was illegally used in it.
In 2018, he posted on YouTube a teaser for the movie Gloom / Kara, the script of which was allegedly “stolen.” Apparently there was not enough money for the film. Since the teaser is still available, it is easy to find it on YouTube, so viewers can easily check what was “stolen” there. There is also a trash can in the movie… that’s it. Apparently this is the only trash can in Turkey, and everyone really needs it. Although rather these people just want the same glory. Some are ready for anything for the sake of PR. Let us remind you that in Turkey, every successful project is necessarily sued by some rogue. Courts always end in the same way – nothing.
