GQ Turkey Man of the Year Award Ceremony
Berk Oktay, Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, Merve Dizdar, Kenan Doğulu and other Turkish stars received GQ Türkiye awards at a ceremony held on Thursday in Istanbul.
On Thursday, December 1, the 10th GQ Türkiye magazine’s Man of the Year Award Ceremony took place in Istanbul. Turkish stars were happy to demonstrate their rather revealing outfits on the red carpet and accept awards from the hands of the organizers. The hosts of the ceremony were Ece Sukan and Tansel Ongel.
Berk Oktay, who received the “Turkish Screen Face of 2022” award, thanked his family and especially his wife Yıldız Çağrı Atiksoy for their support. Recall that now the actor is filming in the series “Ray of Light”, which is the popular TV show, but is not the biggest hit on Turkish air, so the award surprised many viewers.
The famous singer Kenan Doğulu, who was chosen as “Icon of the Year”, received the award from the hands of his wife Beren Saat. The theatrical production “Amadeus“, starring Kerem Alışık, Dilan Çiçek Deniz and Tansu Biçer, received the award for “Outstanding Achievement of the Year”.
Merve Dizdar, known to viewers from the series “Apartment of the Innocents” was chosen as “Woman of the Year”. She received the award from her co-star in the musical “Alice in Wonderland” Şükrü Özyıldız. Merve thanked the women who changed her life and wished that next year would be a year without violence.
Çaglar Çorumlu received the award as “Best Comedian of the Year” from the hands of the famous actress Gülse Birsel.
Uraz Kaygılaroğlu was named the “Best Actor of the Year”, which surprised the fans of Turkish show business a lot. The series “Bad Penny”, in which he starred this year, was unsuccessful and was canceled due to low ratings. Many were outraged, pointing out that there were far more successful actors who received great audience recognition this year.
