Mehmet Aslantuğ has made the decision to enter politics. The 61-year-old actor is running as a candidate for the Turkish Labor Party in the national parliament.

The Chairman of the Turkish Labor Party, Erkan Bas, wrote on his Twitter: “We always remember him not only for his unforgettable roles but also for bravely defending Ahmet Kayu, who was subjected to a planned provocation. I wholeheartedly thank dear Mehmet Aslantuğ, who accepted the proposal to become a candidate for the national parliament.”

It should be noted that Mehmet Aslantuğ was removed from the TV series “Heartache” due to a critical post on social media about the earthquake. He will be nominated from one of the provincial cities in the Aegean Sea region, which he visits every summer on his boat, and this could be Muğla.
