Will artificial intelligence replace Turkish screenwriters?
Prominent journalist Sina Kologlu has reported that Turkish screenwriters, like their American counterparts, are greatly concerned about the prospect of being replaced by artificial intelligence. Meriç Ejemir admitted to him that she fears AI, but still believes that it cannot create a unique screenplay. It would simply be a compilation of previous scripts, very basic material, but it could find its place in the industry. Eylem Canpolat believes that AI could be a good assistant to a screenwriter, but lacks originality as all its ideas are based on old scripts.
