Serenay Sarıkaya and Metin Akdülger to star in a Netflix series
Great news for Serenay Sarıkaya and Metin Akdulger fans. Ay Yapim production company and the digital platform Netflix have decided to reunite this wonderful duo in a new series. What do we know about the show right now?
The shooting of the first season of the series “Family,” starring Serenay Sarıkaya and Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, was completed on Monday. The show will return with its second season in the autumn. The series will have a total of 30 episodes.
However, as it has been revealed, Serenay Sarıkaya won’t be taking a break this summer. Ay Yapim is starting the filming of a romantic comedy for the digital platform Netflix titled “Who Came, Who Left / Kimler Geldi, Kimler Geçti” based on the screenplay by Ece Yörenç, and Serenay will play the lead role. She will portray a character named Leyla, who works at a law firm.
Initially, it was expected that Mert Baykal would be the director of the series. However, information has surfaced that Bertan Başaran, whom Serenay previously worked with on the Netflix series “Şahmaran,” will take the director’s chair.
It is anticipated that there will be three main male characters in the series: Omer, Sarp, and Cem. Renowned journalist Birsen Altuntas reports that the role of Omer, Leyla’s love interest, will be played by Metin Akdülger, who has previously worked with Serenay in the series “Tide.” Interestingly, Ece Yörenç also wrote the screenplay for the series “Tide.”
It has also been revealed that Metin Akdülger’s character’s story in the Disney Plus digital platform series “Between the World and Us / Dünyayla Benim Aramda” has concluded. The actor will not participate in the second season of the show.
