Great news for Çağlar Ertuğrul fans. His new series on the Blu TV digital platform, “Magarsus,” is now available to subscribers and has received high praise from the press.
On August 10th, the Blu TV digital platform premiered the first two episodes of its new series “Magarsus” to its subscribers. On Tuesday, August 8th, a gala event for the series starring Çağlar Ertuğrul, Ercan Kesal, Merve Dizdar, and Berkay Ateş took place at the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus hotel.
Over the weekend, the show was presented to journalists who gave high marks to the work done. The beautiful music by Toyğar Işıkli particularly caught attention, as he used the Charango, a musical instrument characteristic of South America, in the soundtrack.
The series, named after the ancient city of Magarsus in Adana, was written and directed by Yunus Ozan Korkut. Yunus Ozan Korkut, who owns land in the region himself, skillfully conveys his realistic observations of the world of orange groves around him.
The series tells the story of a family that controls the citrus industry in the coastal town of Sarybahçe in Çukurova. The cast includes Berkay Ateş, Çağlar Ertuğrul, Merve Dizdar, and Ercan Kesal. According to journalists, they were amazed by Çağlar Ertuğrul’s performance, who appeared in a very unconventional role. He appeared on screen as Turgut, the son of the founder of the citrus company (Ercan Kesal). Turgut is impulsive and rebellious. Çağlar admitted that he was very inspired by the character after reading the script for the first three episodes of the 8-episode project.
