Rating Race: “Golden Boy” and “Cranberry Sherbet” in the Battle for Viewers
The TV series “Golden Boy,” broadcast on Star TV, continues to lead in ratings among all viewers. However, in the AB and ABC1 groups, which constitute a more affluent audience, the series “Cranberry Sherbet” continues to gain momentum.
The series “Golden Boy” couldn’t replicate the success of the first season and secure the first place in all audience groups. However, the project remains at the top of the ratings in the total category, albeit with a slight lead. In the AB and ABC1 groups, the series “Cranberry Sherbet / Kızılcık Şerbeti” is the leader. Nevertheless, “Golden Boy” still outpaces its competitor among all viewers. Thus, the ratings race between the two series is in full swing.
Recently, the decline of “Golden Boy” in the AB and ABC1 categories has slowed, and a small growth has begun. This is attributed to a decrease in criticism of the series’ plot. It can be said that the project is starting to recover.
Script issues led to a loss of viewers, but it seems that the series is regaining its old audience with new script twists that satisfy their expectations. Perhaps the addition of new, strong scriptwriters to the team has played a role.
In the coming weeks, the competition between the series “Golden Boy” and “Cranberry Sherbet / Kızılcık Şerbeti” will only intensify. If “Golden Boy” can maintain its audience share in the total category, it can retain its leadership in the ratings. In December, viewers will also see a new series, “Gaddar,” which may attract a portion of the audience.
