4 new series of Turkish TV channel TRT1

The state television channel TRT1, which is renowned for its family dramas and historical TV shows, is currently in the process of launching four new series that will commence airing in the winter of 2024.

1. “Black Tree / Kara Ağaç” – set in the 70s in Cappadocia. The lead roles in the series will be played by Olgun Şimşek, Meltem Akçöl, and Emre Kıvılcım.

2. “Crying Bride / Ağlayan Gelin” – a football drama featuring Feyyaz Şerifoğlu, telling the story of a young woman named Yeşil and the famous footballer Yasin. The series is produced by Mehmet Bozdağ, known for his series “Resurrection: Ertugrul” and “The Ottoman.”

3. “Fatih” – the story of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, starring Serkan Çayoğlu. Produced by Miray Yapım, the main cast includes Selim Bayraktar, Fikret Kuşkan, Sinan Albayrak, Ayşegül Günay, and Tuba Ünsal.

4. “Prisoner of Love / Aşka Tutsak” – a story about newlyweds produced by Vernant DP, directed by Metin Balekoğlu, with a script by Nehir Aytaç.
