In an interview with ELLE magazine, Demet Evgar defines her profession: “I describe my profession as a storyteller. My job is to convey these stories as an actress.

In my profession, I tell stories that are entrusted to me, and in my life, I live my own story. The real me and the characters I portray are completely different people. Explaining this to the world can sometimes be difficult. Entirely different stories are told that have nothing to do with you. My only way of protection is to set boundaries and distance between virtual realities and believe in my own story.”
