Çağlar Ertuğrul is set to become a modern-day Arsène Lupin in the new series “Kalpazan”
Following his unexpected role as Turgut in the series “Magarsus,” Çağlar Ertuğrul will once again surprise viewers in the upcoming project “The Counterfeiter,” (Kalpazan) which will air on Show TV.
Filming for “The Counterfeiter,” produced by O3 Medya, is about to begin. The series will be directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin, known for his successful projects such as “Miracle in Cell No. 7” and “Atatürk.” In this project, Çağlar will play the brother of the main character Adem, portrayed by Timuçin Esen. His character will differ greatly from the actor’s usual roles and is expected to capture significant interest from viewers.
Rumors suggest that Çağlar’s character, Kartal, is reminiscent of the legendary French literary hero Arsène Lupin. Kartal is a charismatic con artist, the complete opposite of his honest and upright brother Adem. He is a master of disguise, an eloquent speaker, a skilled persuader, a professional liar, and a ladies’ man.
However, things will take a turn when he becomes involved with a woman very different from himself—Ayşe, played by Deniz Baysal.
