According to Birsen Altuntaş, the series “If the King Loses” will begin filming this season after four years of preparation. Halit Ergenç will play the lead role of Kenan, while Merve Dizdar will portray Fadi, a waitress in a bar who becomes the love interest of Ergenç’s character. Merve Dizdar will start preparing for her new role right after completing the shooting of “Magarsus” in Adana.

The popular Iranian series “Shahrazad,” based on a love story set in Tehran in 1953, will be adapted into a Turkish version produced by OGM. Directed by Çağrı Vila Lostuvalı, with a script written by Pelin Gülcan, Lara Bulut Tecim, and Batuhan Özbay, the lead roles will be played by Simay Barlas (Shahrazad) and Aytaç Şaşmaz (Ferhat), a journalist who ends up in prison. İsmail Hacıoğlu will play Kubat, who forces Shahrazad to accept his proposal to save her beloved from death. The cast will also include Tamer Levent, Mehmet Çevik, and Nazlıcan Demir. A script reading is scheduled for tomorrow, and filming will begin on Sunday.
