One of India’s most popular actors, Aamir Khan, arrived in Turkey to film his new movie. What is the project and why did the Indian superstar decide to direct his film in Turkey? We have become aware of some details of future work.

Aamir Khan, who has good friendships in Turkey (the actor has visited the country several times, met with representatives of Turkish show business, President Erdoğan, was shot in advertising), decided to move the shooting of his new film Laal Singh Chaddha from India to Turkey. Aamir managed to shoot half of the movie in different parts of India before the outbreak, but work was completely stopped due to the threat of coronavirus. Given the current situation, the Indian superstar decided to shoot the rest of it in Turkey.

On Saturday, August 8, Aamir flew to Turkey to prepare the filming plateau, as well as agree on the timing of the film crew and the recruitment of the Turkish cast, which will also be involved in the film. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has announced that it will give the Indian superstar full support. Filming will take place in October in Istanbul and Ankara and will take 40 days.

Laal Singh Chaddha is the official remake of the Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks. Also cast are Karina Kapoor Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. Screenplay by Atul Kulkarni. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions.

What kind of Turkish actors are we going to see in the new Indian film? Will their roles be significant, or will they be confined to just extras? We’ll know soon enough.
