Have Turkish producers let the film industry down?
The owner of the chain of cinemas Magical Fener Cinemas, Irfan Demirkol, is very offended by the Turkish producers, who have let them down badly. Instead of supporting the film industry, they quickly switched to digital platforms, selling their films to overseas buyers. Now the situation has somewhat improved, especially compared to last summer, the younger generation is returning to the cinemas. However, an interruption of 18 months almost destroyed the industry financially. Unfortunately, government support is not enough for the sector to survive. But the main thing is that he has to show American films. There are practically no Turkish films in cinemas. Producers have switched to platforms, leaving the domestic film sector behind.
