Tekden Film Company announces the beginning of work on a new project, Doctor Akshemsettin / Hekim Akşemsettin, which will tell about the life of an outstanding Muslim philosopher, poet, religious figure, famous physician Muhammad Shams al-Din bin Hamzah, better known as Akshemseddin.

He was a teacher and advisor to Sultan Fatih the Conqueror, the founder of the Shamsiyya-Bayramiyya Sufi order. He found the lost grave of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari. He was one of the main doctors of the Ottoman Empire, who healed not only the body, but also the soul, doing psychiatric diagnostics. Two centuries before the fundamental discovery of Antoine van Leeuwenhoek, he discovered the existence of microbes.

Filming will take place on a shooting plateau in Istanbul, where old Ankara, Bursa and Adana have been recreated.
