TV company Limon Yapım has acquired the rights to adapt another series from screenwriter Peter Moffat. Recall that the Turkish remake of the series Your Honor by the same author will soon be aired. This time we are talking about the English series ‘Criminal Justice’, which was also adapted by HBO and released under the title The Night Of. Negotiations have already been held with many well-known Turkish actors for the role of the protagonist, lawyer John Turturro.

Plot: Nasir ‘Naz’ Khan is a naive Pakistani-American college student in Queens, New York. One night, after taking his father’s cab to a popular party, Naz picks up a girl named Andrea. After a night full of sex and drugs with this girl, Naz wakes up to find her stabbed to death; he doesn’t remember what happened. Naz leaves the scene of the crime, but soon after, he is arrested for a minor traffic violation. During a search, the cops find a knife in Naz’s pocket that matches the suspected murder weapon, and witnesses identify it. He is interrogated by Detective Dennis Box. Ultimately, Naz asks for a lawyer, but is denied until the lawyer John Turturro hears about the case, and decides to represent Naz.
