Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Yazıcıoğlu: big lies?
The Turkish press continues to vigorously discuss the separation of Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Yazıcıoğlu, offering their own versions of the reasons why the young couple broke up.
Well-known journalist Bariş Kocaoğlu speculates on what really caused the break-up of Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Yazıcıoğlu, whose relationship lasted 4 years. According to the journalist, he was not at all surprised, since he had watched this “movie” many times in Turkish show business. First, there are rumors of a breakup, which the couple refutes. This is followed by a press release acknowledging: “We ended our relationship with love and respect, our friendship continues.” This is a big lie. They can never be friends.
So why did the relationship end? They were harmonious for many years, but suddenly the series “Golden Boy” appeared and Afra’s popularity grew incredibly. Unfortunately, things didn’t go well for Mert. His series “To the nines” failed in the ratings and made an early finale. As soon as this happened, the journalist already knew that the couple would break up.
As Barış Kocaoğlu states, for young actors, when a woman’s career is at its peak and a man’s career isn’t getting the attention an actor expected, it creates a lot of stress. Of course, this is not the only reason, but the popularity of Afra and the daily mention of her and her co-star in the series could well cause a strong crisis of jealousy. We can say that “Golden Boy” did not benefit the couple. It turned out to be successful only for Afra.
