Ratings of Turkish TV
The ratings for Tuesday gave Turkish viewers a new series “Aile”, which started with an impressive result, especially in the AB category. Yet it’s hardly surprising given the series’ all-star ensemble, particularly with Kvanç Tatltu playing the protagonist. Another concern is whether the project’s creators will have the ability to keep spectators interested. Superstars can attract fans, but only writers can keep them, as we all know.
The series “Üç Kız Kardeş” lost 0.79% in total and 0.41% in AB. Yet, given the prospect of a worthy opponent, this is not surprising. The following week will show if viewers prefer the novelty over their regular programming.
The series “Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam” lost 0.19% in total and 0.26% in AB. The drop is not as big as it could have been, considering the arrival of a competitor with the same subject on Tuesday, but the project has been progressively losing its audience for a long time and it is not yet able to reverse this trend.
The series “Yürek Çıkmazı” grew by 0.33% in total, but lost 0.36% in AB. The state channel project has a loyal following that is rather consistent, thus the presence of competitors doesn’t really bother it.
The series “Taçsız Prenses” lost 0.66% in total and 0.46% in AB. Finally, it is evident that producer Fatih Aksoy’s show was unable to engage Turkish viewers. It might not even be able to survive till the season’s end.
The series “Gecenin Ucunda” lost 0.39% in total and 0.46% in AB. The Star TV show is facing a serious threat of simply dropping out of the ratings. The channel management’ pledges have kept it on the air, but it’s uncertain how long they’ll be willing to wait.
