Aslıhan Güner to play Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s mother

The well-known actress Aslıhan Güner, who recently wrapped up filming Mahsun Kırmızıgül’s “Question of Prestige,” will make another appearance before the audience in a biographical movie.

This time, Aslıhan will take the lead in the movie “Zübeyde: Mothers and Sons” (Zübeyde Analar Ogullar), which depicts the life of Zubeyde Hanım, the mother of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president and founder of the modern Turkish Republic, as a young woman. The movie, which screenplay was written by İlber Tekinsoy and produced by Nuri Yıldırım, Zeynep Güngör and Alper Tosun, will be directed by Cenk Yaz.

The movie, which premiere is set for October 29, 2023, the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, reveals previously untold details of Mrs. Zübeyde’s life and highlights the crucial role she played in Mustafa Kemal’s and the Turkish Republic’s destiny.

The actor who will portray Mustafa Kemal has also been chosen; his name is Alican Yücesoy. Ulviye Karaca, Emre Kınay, Devrim Nas, Ayberk Aladar, Wilma Elles, Ece Baykal and Turgay Tanülkü will be in the cast of the movie.
