Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Yalı Çapkını” grew by 0.11% in total, but lost 0.45% in AB. The plot is running in circles, according to fans’ complaints, and has lost some of its previous intrigue. Yet, despite considerable audience dissatisfaction, Onur Güvenatam’s show is still watched, keeps topping Turkish ratings, and has a 100% guarantee for a second season.

The series “Kızılcık Şerbeti” grew by 1.79% in total and 1.71% in AB. The initial secondary plotline, which the audience ultimately found to be much more engaging than the principal one, was the one that the screenwriters finally focused on in order to win the viewers’ hearts. Although it is unclear how the plot will progress, the supporting characters might easily replace the protagonists.

The series “Ateş Kuşları” lost 0.77% in total and 0.22% in AB.  The producer Mehmet Bozdağ’s show got off to a good start, but the viewers are progressively drifting away, and the producers are unable to stop it. It’s unclear at this time whether the Television channel will take a chance on risking a series with declining ratings for a second season.

The series “Tuzak” grew by 0.05% in total and 0.17% in AB. Despite the depressingly low ratings, this show will continue to air as long as there are overseas sales. When the channel owner also owns the rights to the broadcasting series, that is what happens.
