Ratings of Turkish TV

Turkish audiences were introduced to the new TV show “Yüz Yllk Mucize” by the ratings on Thursday, March 23rd. The series’ success or failure, however, is not guaranteed by the first episode. It’s unclear whether the Turkish audience would embrace the show’s subject because it’s rather unusual for Turkish television.

The TV series “Camdaki Kız” grew by 0.58% in total and by 0.69% in AB. Overall, the Onur Güvenatam-produced show has been quite popular and is confidently approaching the end of its current season, obviously tempting the channel to renew it for another. It remains to be seen if the series’ creators would give in to this temptation.

The TV series “Al Sancak” grew by 0.04% in total but lost 0.72% in AB. Although not becoming a huge hit, Mehmet Bozdağ’s show has had some respectable ratings and is optimistic about the future.

The TV series “Aldatmak” lost 0.38% in total and 0.54% in AB. The Timur Savcı-produced show is quite popular, but the ATV channel’s executives are not likely to renew it for a second season because the ratings are not convincing.

The TV series “Gelsin Hayat Bildiği Gibi” lost 0.12% in total but grew by 0.61% in AB. The only summer TV show in Turkey’s media market that managed to survive the most difficult competition is making a small but dignified progress toward the end of the season.
