The TV series “Golden Boy” will not be broadcasted in Kyrgyzstan

The Turkish series “Golden Boy” was supposed to air on the Kyrgyz channel ELTR, but the channel refused to broadcast the series. Outraged citizens appealed to the channel’s management to ban the show in the country. The reason for such a demand was the plot of the series, which deals with psychological violence, adultery in the family, insult to personal dignity, and family ties. The immorality and attitude towards marriage and family, toxic relationships between two young people also drew sharp criticism from viewers.

The press secretary of the Minister of Culture announced that the opinion of the citizens has been taken into account, and young people who watch the series may blindly believe in the correctness of such behavior and imitate the heroes. For this reason, the series is being taken off the air. It is expected to be replaced by a Korean drama.
