Merve Dizdar: “This is not only my award”

Merve Dizdar, in the latest issue of Hello magazine, shared her feelings after receiving the award at the Cannes Film Festival:

“I received this award not only for myself; it’s not the kind of award that I can celebrate alone. It’s an award that we can all celebrate together. I am proud to have brought this award to my country, seeing that everyone is so happy for me, even more than I am myself, and that I can give strength to young people, my young colleagues. I take pride in that.”
