Great news for the fans of the series “Cranberry Sherbet / Kızılcık Şerbeti”! According to the just-published court decision, the penalty imposed by the state censor RTÜK on the TV Show has been overturned.

Renowned journalist Birsen Altuntaş reports that the Administrative Court of Ankara has canceled the decision to take the popular series “Cranberry Sherbet / Kızılcık Şerbeti” off the air for 5 weeks, a decision previously made by the state censor RTÜK. The state authority justified this severe punishment by citing that the series contained overly intense scenes that significantly undermined public morality.

However, the judges sided with the arguments presented by the legal team of Gold Film production company, deeming RTÜK’s decision excessively harsh. It’s worth noting that the series was temporarily removed from the air for two weeks in the spring. It appears that the story might conclude here, unless representatives of the state censor decide to appeal to a higher authority.
