Turkish TV series ‘Golden Boy’ is losing popularity
The second season of the Turkish series “Golden Boy” has faced criticism from both viewers and critics. A change in the scriptwriting team, alterations to characters, and unsuccessful plot developments have led to a decline in ratings, especially in the latest episode.
Despite the participation of popular actors such as Binnur Kaya and Tarık Emir Tekin, viewers have been dissatisfied with the plot’s progression. Even the strong on-screen chemistry between the lead actors, Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Ramazan Demir, couldn’t compensate for the script’s shortcomings.
A new plot twist bringing back the characters Pelin and Zerrin has further disappointed the audience. These characters were among the least popular in the first season, and many fans had hoped they wouldn’t return.
The production team of the series is attempting to rectify the situation, but so far, it has not yielded positive results. We will see if they can restore the show to its former popularity.
