Uğur Güneş, renowned for his successful roles in the series “Bitter Lands” and “Red Scarf,” is returning to the screen in a new show dedicated to the great military commander Salah ad-Din.

The series “Sultan Salah ad-Din: Conqueror of Jerusalem” will narrate the story of the liberation of Jerusalem from the Crusaders in the 12th century. Uğur Güneş will portray the lead role – Sultan Salah ad-Din, who spearheaded this conquest.

For the actor, this show poses a challenging and significant endeavor. He must not only embody the image of the great military leader but also navigate through numerous combat scenes.

The first trailer for the series has already been released, sparking considerable interest among viewers. It showcases impressive battle scenes and a strong ensemble cast.

Alongside Uğur Güneş, the series features Dilin Döger, Mehmet Ali Nuroğlu, Kaan Çakır, Erdinç Gülenler, Tuvana Türkay, Ekin Türkmen, Gökçe Akyıldız, Sezgin Erdemir, and Seda Yıldız.

Sedat İnçi serves as the show’s director, with the screenplay penned by Serdar Ozonalan.

The series “Sultan Salah ad-Din: Conqueror of Jerusalem” will premiere on TRT1 on November 13. Producer Emre Konuk’s ambitious show promises to become one of the most successful Turkish series in the new television season.
