Ratings of Turkish TV

The ratings for Tuesday brought two new series to the Turkish audience.

The series “Bahar” started quite briskly, receiving good numbers in both categories. This once again confirms the observations of sociologists that female-oriented series have been attracting more attention from the Turkish audience lately. What matters most to them is a quality script and well-chosen actors. It seems this show has everything for success; the key is to manage it correctly.

The series “Until You (Senden Önce)” started rather weakly. Despite having good actors, it appears that the script itself didn’t capture the interest of the Turkish audience. However, the first episode is not definitive for the show’s future. Ratings could certainly improve in the future.

The series “Wild Heart (Yabani)” grew by 0.67% in total but lost 0.94% in AB. The show on Fox TV remains one of the most demanded series of the season, and the decrease in AB, while not particularly pleasant, will not pose any problems. It’s quite possible that the formed audience will return to watching next week; as known, the interests of AB viewers change much faster than those of the total audience.

The series “I Can’t Fit into This World (Ben Bu Cihana Sığmazam)” grew by 0.83% in total and by 2.13% in AB. A very solid growth in AB indicates that the male audience has indeed stayed by the TVs, although lately, sociologists have noticed that the remote control is increasingly ending up in female hands. Male-oriented series may not achieve the huge numbers they did before, but they still feel quite confident on air.
