Ratings of Turkish TV
The series “Mountain of Hearts (Gönül Dağı)” decreased by 0.11% in total and 0.58% in AB. With such ratings, slight fluctuations in the audience pose no threat to the project of the state television channel. The fifth season is definitely on the horizon, as the series has been one of the most beloved in the Turkish airwaves for four consecutive years.
The series “For my family (Kardeşlerim)” decreased by 0.53% in total and 0.74% in AB. Despite the apparent desire to extend the show for another season, the ratings indicate that this is unlikely to happen. With such AB ratings, even the management of the ATV channel won’t sign up for another season.
The series “The Next Room (Yan Oda)” grew by 0.72% in total and 1.09% in AB. This is excellent news for the producer Onur Güvenatam, who made a very serious investment in the show. It once again demonstrates that the ratings of the first episode don’t determine much; it’s the second episode that defined the positive trend, and from here on, it will depend on the writer Bariş Güngör, who will have to juggle between “Winter’s Child” and “The Next Room.”
The series “Don’t Be Afraid, I’m With You (Korkma Ben Yanındayım)” decreased by 0.03% in total and 0.45% in AB. It seems that the producer Fatih Aksoy’s hopes of creating a popular Cinderella story didn’t pan out this time. Viewers decided not to continue watching, voting with the remote and simply switching the channel. Nonetheless, the series will run until the end of the season, as there are no replacements scheduled by the channel.
The series “Three Sisters (Üç Kız Kardeş)” decreased by 0.24% in total and 0.15% in AB. The show is gradually approaching its finale, losing its audience, which is a normal process in Turkish TV. Only a few series reach their finale (especially in the third season) with decent ratings.
