Filming Has Begun: What Awaits Viewers in the New Series ‘Genius’?

The new television season in Turkey will be marked by the premiere of one of the most anticipated projects from Ay Yapım, the series “Genius” (Deha), starring Aras Bulut İynemli in the lead role. The premiere is scheduled for September 9 on Show TV, where “Genius” will take the time slot previously occupied by the series “Çukur.”

The project is directed by Umut Aral, who has previously worked with digital formats. Filming for “Genius” begins today, and the first scenes will be shot with Taner Ölmez (playing Cesur) and Çağan Efe Ak (playing Boran).

Renowned journalist Birsen Altuntaş reported significant changes in the plot of the series. Screenwriter Damla Serim introduced a new strong female character named Imre, who will appear at later stages and drastically alter the course of events. Initially, the role of Imre was offered to Devrim Özkan, but the actress chose to leave the project.

According to available information, the series’ plot revolves around complex family relationships. The main character, Devran (Aras Bulut İynemli), has a half-brother, Cesur, who is involved in the dark dealings of their father, Iskender. The role of Iskender, Devran’s father, is played by Uğur Polat.

The star-studded cast of the series also includes:
– Ahsen Eroğlu as Esme, Devran’s childhood love
– Zuhal Gencer as Devran’s mother, Güldje
– Oğulcan Arman Uslu as older brother Ferman
– Umutcan Ütebay as younger brother Yaman
– Eylul Ersöz as Ceylan
– Emel Göksu as grandmother Cavidan

Of particular note is the role of Ali Haydar, Devran’s mentor, which will be played by Onur Saylak.

“Genius” promises to be one of the key projects of the new television season, combining a talented cast and an intriguing plot. Changes in the storyline and cast add additional interest to the project, leaving viewers eagerly awaiting the premiere.
