Love and Secrets in Cappadocia: A Look at the New Series “Güzel Aşklar Diyarı”

In the series “Land of Beautiful Love,” (Güzel Aşklar Diyarı) produced jointly by MedYapım and Boyut Film, Özgü Kaya will play the role of Dr. Deniz, the daughter-in-law of the Alaca family.

The plot of the series, which will air in the new season on Kanal D, revolves around the mysterious and intrigue-filled story of the powerful Alaca family from Cappadocia. The project is produced by Fatih Aksoy, directed by Mahsun Kırmızıgül, with a script written by Özlem İnci Hekimoğlu and Nil Güleç Ünsal.

The main roles are played by Halil Ergün, Meltem Cumbul, Özgü Kaya, and Burak Berkay Akgül. The story begins when Deniz Dervişoğlu, a cheerful doctor from Izmir, despite her sister Yünzile’s objections, travels to Cappadocia to meet the family of Erhan Alaca, whom she recently met.

This unexpected visit and the passionate love between the two young people lead to dramatic events and the uncovering of secrets within both the Alaca and Dervişoğlu families.

Meltem Cumbul will portray Gönül, Erhan’s mother, while Halil Ergün will play Erhan’s grandfather, Hakim Alaca. Ege Kökenli takes on the role of Hakim’s young wife, Hanzade, and Berkan Şal plays Belmondo, Hakim’s right-hand man. The Turkish media has already taken note of the age difference between Halil Ergün and Ege Kökenli, who plays his wife.

The roles of Erhan’s brothers, Cihangir and Cemal, will be played by Özgür Emre Yıldırım and Yiğit Yapıcı, respectively, while Işıltı Su Alank plays their sister, Alara. Ekin Aksoy will portray Roza, Cemal’s pregnant wife, and Yunus Narin will bring to life the character of Tufan, Deniz’s obsessive cousin.
