Yesterday, a script reading took place for the historical series produced by Miray Yapım, which will be broadcast on TRT1. The series “Mehmed: Conqueror” (“Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı”) will enter the new season with a strengthened cast and a new director.

Last year, the series was filmed by Yıldıray Yıldırım alongside Şafak Bal. In the upcoming season, Yıldıray Yıldırım will continue his work, joined by a new director — Selahattin Sancaklı.

The plot of the series revolves around the life of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, portrayed by Serkan Çayoğlu. This season, five new actors have joined the cast: Korel Cezayirli, Erdal Küçükkömürcü, Ufuk Karaali, Osman Soykut, and Wilma Elles. Following yesterday’s script reading, filming for the series will commence today.
