Yağmur Tanrısevsin gained fame for her role as Melis in the series “In Waiting for the Sun.” In a recent interview, the actress shared some insights about her role in this show.

She noted, “The series ‘In Waiting for the Sun’ holds a special place in my life, thanks to the character of Melis. She was a deeply traumatized character, and for me, every episode was filled with surprises. I conducted research in unfamiliar areas and discovered new aspects of myself. Despite the problematic nature of the heroine and her negative actions, it was crucial for me that the audience could empathize with this character, understand her actions, and perhaps even come to love her. I played a character suffering from bulimia, and during my work on the role, I interacted with many people who had experienced this illness. Alongside my fellow cast members, we encouraged them during their treatment. Melis is one of those characters that I can say I portrayed with joy and warmth. The ability to touch the hearts of viewers by bringing a character to life on screen is priceless to me and is the main reason I love my profession,” she said.
