Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Leyla” increased by 1.17% in Total and 0.29% in AB. A solid growth in Total and overall positive feedback in AB provide hope for success, which is not surprising given the strong script foundation. The key is for Turkish screenwriters to remain true to the original without resorting to overused clichés. If they do, we may see further growth in ratings and promising prospects for this new series by Ay Yapim.

The series “Scent of the Trunk (Sandık Kokusu)” had a modest start, though not a failure. Last season, the show also had average ratings, which were satisfactory for Show TV. It is hoped that loyal viewers will continue watching the beloved show.

The series “Remember (Taş Kağıt Makas)” returned to the air with rather disappointing results. Kanal D, unlike its competitor NOW TV, has not accumulated as many series; however, at the start of the season, it is likely that management will find a more attractive replacement for this unsuccessful show. If the ratings remain low over the next couple of weeks, a quick cancellation is expected.
