Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Mountain of Hearts (Gönül Dağı)” saw an increase of 1.35% in total viewership and 1.22% in the AB demographic. For five years in a row, Turkish audiences have returned again and again to their favorite series, which may not have much demand abroad but remains one of the highest-rated shows on Turkish television. It seems that this season will also be quite successful for the state channel’s TV show.

The series “Wild Heart (Yabani)” lost 0.29% in total viewership and 0.04% in the AB demographic. It appears that Turkish viewers are not inspired by the new storyline and show little desire to immerse themselves in a world of avengers and scrap heaps. Unfortunately, with such ratings, the TV show on the NOW channel is likely to last another two or three weeks, depending on when the next series is ready to replace it.

The series “Blind Spot (Kör Nokta)” had a modest start in both categories, failing to generate much enthusiasm among Turkish viewers. Some have already rushed to label producer Osman Sinav’s show as the weakest of all newcomers. To be fair, Mr. Sinav is not directly involved in the series, as he is currently ill, and the production is being handled by his son. This, apparently, has affected the results. However, the show’s future will depend on its performance in the coming weeks. If the ratings drop next week, the series won’t stay on air for long.
