The series “Distant City (Uzak Şehir)” increased by 3.07% in Total ratings and 2.67% in the AB demographic, achieving the best performance among all series that premiered this fall season. This result once again demonstrates that a strong script is the key to success for Turkish productions. It is worth noting that Ay Yapim acquired the rights to remake the Arabic series “Al Hayba” and invested considerable time in refining it. Unlike his competitors, Kerem Çatay does not limit himself to Korean or English-language originals, expanding the geographical scope of remakes. The challenge now lies in maintaining this positive trend and convincing viewers that the story will only become more engaging.
The series “Red Roses (Kızıl Goncalar)” dropped by 0.12% in Total ratings but grew by 1.15% in the AB demographic. Despite the arrival of a formidable competitor, producer Faruk Turgut’s show lost only slightly in Total ratings while making significant gains in AB. It seems there is more than enough audience interest for all, as long as the story remains compelling. A strong script and excellent acting continue to define this series, which has maintained its high standards even in its second season.
The series “Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (Salahaddin Ayyubi)” grew by 0.11% in Total ratings and 0.72% in the AB demographic. This historical show on the state channel has a dedicated audience that closely follows its narrative. Producer Emre Konuk appears likely to fulfill his promise of delivering three seasons, as initially planned.
The series “The Cost of Lies (Kalpazan)” lost 0.12% in Total ratings but gained 0.94% in the AB demographic. While the numbers are modest, they are far from disappointing. The show retains a loyal audience that prefers its storyline despite attractive alternatives. It is expected to run smoothly until the New Year, after which its future will depend on the writers.
