Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Distant City (Uzak Şehir)” saw an increase of 1.34% in Total and 1.12% in AB. Experts had not placed high expectations on this project, making its unexpected ratings surge one of the season’s biggest surprises. This, however, serves as yet another proof that the success of Turkish dramas primarily hinges on a well-crafted script. Ay Yapim’s investment in a remake and years of preparation have clearly paid off.

The series “Red Roses (Kızıl Goncalar)” experienced a slight drop of 0.01% in Total and 0.96% in AB. Despite these fluctuations, the show, produced by Faruk Turgut, enjoys a stable audience, and even significant swings in ratings do not dislodge it from its leading position in this category. It is worth noting that the series will conclude this season, promising not only a powerful storyline but, more importantly, one that avoids being drawn out.

The series “Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (Salahaddin Ayyubi)” fell by 0.10% in Total and 1.66% in AB. This state broadcaster show retains its audience in the Total category, even though the fluctuations in AB are more pronounced. However, since Total has always been the channel’s priority, these changes are unlikely to impact the project’s future.

The series “The Cost of Lies (Kalpazan)” gained 0.17% in Total and 0.02% in AB. Despite facing a strong competitor, the show managed to hold onto its modest yet loyal viewership, a positive sign for fans. If no major drop in ratings occurs, it may well make it to the season’s conclusion in May or June next year.
