Ratings of Turkish TV

Thursday’s ratings introduced Turkish viewers to the new series “Holding,” which had a rather weak debut in both categories. Naturally, there is always a chance for improvement, and the project might surprise us next week. However, if the audience fails to engage with the series, its cancellation could follow within just a few episodes.

The series “Boundless Love (Hudutsuz Sevda)” experienced a growth of 2.01% in Total and 1.60% in AB ratings. In its second season, this show by producer Fatih Aksoy continues to show solid and stable figures in both categories. This consistency ensures that its position on air remains secure for the rest of the season.

The series “Secret of the Pearls (İnci Taneleri)” saw an increase of 1.30% in Total and 1.70% in AB. Produced, written, and led by Yılmaz Erdoğan, this show is an excellent example of how Turkish series can offer not just clichés but also something original and uniquely Turkish, unborrowed from outside influences. While a third season seems unlikely due to Mr. Erdoğan’s busy schedule, these two seasons have delivered many memorable moments for fans of Turkish cinema.

The series “Valley of Hearts (Siyah Kalp)” grew by 0.49% in Total and 0.44% in AB. Whether this uptick is tied to the storyline or the recent scandal on set remains unclear. Nevertheless, the show, produced by Timur Savcı, continues to hold its spot on air, which is undoubtedly good news.
