Filming for the Bozdağ Film production, created for TRT, has yet to begin, but the director has already been replaced. The story of the series focuses on a love story that began in university and later evolved into a conflict in the criminal underworld. Initially, Kamil Aydın was set to direct and had started preparing for the project, but he was replaced before filming started. The directorial duties are now split between Metin Günay and Hakan Arslan. Metin Günay will oversee the first episodes before moving on to a 30-episode project, “A Thousand and One Nights,” starring Cansu Dere and İbrahim Çelikkol. The rest of “Once Upon a Time in Istanbul” will be directed by Hakan Arslan.
Oktay Çubuk has joined the cast of the new series “Debt of the Soul” (Can Borcu), which will premiere on December 21, Saturday, on ATV. The project is produced by NTC Medya, directed by Semih Bağcı, and written by Onur Uğraş. The series stars Bülent İnal, Ebru Özkan Saban, Mine Tugay, and Cüneyt Mete. The plot revolves around two families whose fates intertwine due to unforeseen events. Oktay Çubuk, previously seen in the series “Interrogation” (Sorgu) on the Tod platform, will take on a surprising role in this new project.
