“Once Upon a Time in Istanbul”: What Does TRT 1’s New Project Promise for Series Fans?

As the winter television season approaches, the industry is gearing up for the premiere of “Once Upon a Time in Istanbul” (Bir Zamanlar İstanbul) on TRT 1.

The production, which will transport viewers to the atmosphere of the 1990s, has entered an active phase following a recent script reading session.

Producer Mehmet Bozdağ confirmed the intense preparation process via official social media channels. “We have completed a key milestone—the script reading. The production process is in full swing. Soon, we will present the audience with a captivating story brought to life by an outstanding cast,” Bozdağ stated, expressing confidence in the project’s success.

The lead roles will be played by Cihangir Ceyhan and Alina Boz. The cast also includes esteemed screen veterans Hüseyin Avni Danyal, Didem Balçın, Şebnem Dönmez, Kaan Taşaner, Deniz Celiloğlu, Özge Özder, Ümit Kantarcılar, İpek Karapınar, Murat Daltaban, Nihal Koldaş, Mirza Bahattin Doğan, and Serdar Özer.
