Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Bahar” lost 0.31% in total and 0.58% in AB. Despite the drop in ratings, the show remains one of the most in-demand productions on Turkish television and could likely continue into a third season—provided the creators manage to convince lead actress Demet Evgar to stay on board.

The series “The Nightfall” (Bir Gece Masalı) lost 0.31% in total but gained 0.61% in AB. However, its rating among the educated and affluent audience remains low. For ATV, though, this isn’t a critical issue, as total viewership matters more—and in that regard, the show is performing well.

The series “Mehmed the Conqueror” (Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı) grew by 0.41% in total and 1.14% in AB. This historical project on the state channel TRT1 continues to be one of the network’s flagship productions. Given its success, a third season is almost guaranteed.

The series “Don’t Cry, Istanbul” (Sen Ağlama İstanbul) increased by 0.13% in total but dropped 1.10% in AB. The show, produced by Onur Güvenatam, remains in a precarious position. While general audiences seem to have a positive reception, the educated and affluent demographic has yet to engage. At this rate, the show will likely conclude this season without moving forward to the next.
