Ratings of Turkish TV
The series “The Ottoman” (Kuruluş Osman) lost 0.26% in total viewership and 0.47% in the AB demographic. Producer Mehmet Bozdağ’s show remains the most in-demand historical series on Turkish television and is approaching its finale with a solid margin of stability, though it no longer achieves the ratings of its early seasons. However, this will not prevent it from going down in the history of Turkish TV dramas as one of the leading shows throughout its broadcast.
The series “Orphans” (Sahipsizler) lost 0.52% in total viewership and 0.07% in the AB demographic. Producer Onur Güvenatam’s show attracts the attention of the general audience, though it does not generate much interest among the educated and affluent demographic. With such total ratings, the series is likely to reach the end of the season and may continue into another if there is no dramatic ratings collapse.
The series “Leyla” lost 0.81% in total viewership and 1.74% in the AB demographic. This drop is quite severe, but producer Kerem Çatay’s show still has a solid buffer that should allow it to last until the end of the season.
The series “Scent of the Trunk” (Sandık Kokusu) lost 0.23% in total viewership and 0.83% in the AB demographic. According to Birsen Altuntaş, the ratings for this episode were crucial in determining the fate of the show. It appears that cancellation is imminent.
The series “My Mother Ankara” (Annem Ankara) gained 0.05% in total viewership and 0.22% in the AB demographic. The increase is too small to influence the fate of BKM’s show, which remains on air primarily due to international market interest. The question remains—will international sales outweigh domestic ratings?
