Ratings of Turkish TV
The series “Distant City” (Uzak Şehir) grew by 0.74% in total but lost 0.29% in AB. Producer Kerem Çatay’s show has become a true ratings breakthrough. It has been a long time since Turkey has seen numbers this high. Given this success, the series is likely to remain on air for several seasons. The only question now is whether the scriptwriters can maintain the quality at a high level.
The series “Salahaddin Ayyubi” (Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi) increased by 0.28% in total and 0.35% in AB. This public broadcaster project has a small but very stable audience, which fully satisfies TRT1’s management. It seems the series will remain on air for at least one more season.
The series “Red Roses” (Kızıl Goncalar) lost 0.44% in total and 0.13% in AB. Its high ratings in AB allow producer Faruk Turgut’s show to comfortably continue until the season finale in June. However, it remains to be seen whether the total audience will stay engaged. We will find out in the spring.
