Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Orphans” (Sahipsizler) grew by 0.43% in Total but lost 0.29% in AB. The average viewer watches producer Onur Güvenatam’s new show with great enthusiasm, but it has not generated much excitement among the affluent and educated audience. However, with such strong Total ratings, this is not a major issue, and the creators are likely already planning for a second season.

The series “The Ottoman” (Kuruluş Osman) lost 0.29% in Total and 0.26% in AB. Producer Mehmet Bozdağ’s historical show remains beloved by Turkish viewers, and as it turns out, ATV has convinced the creators to extend it for another season, despite initial plans to conclude it at the end of this season.

The series “Leyla” (Leyla) lost 0.39% in Total and 0.45% in AB. With these figures, producer Kerem Çatay’s show is unlikely to secure a second season. However, it will wrap up this season smoothly by late May or early June.

The series “Scent of the Trunk” (Sandık Kokusu) lost 0.39% in Total and 0.67% in AB. However, this is no longer a concern, as O3 Medya’s project is set to conclude with its 50th episode as originally planned.

The series “My Mother Ankara” (Annem Ankara) grew by 0.09% in Total but lost 0.26% in AB. Unfortunately, despite high expectations and a star-studded cast, BKM’s project has failed to win over Turkish audiences. It remains on air mainly due to strong AB ratings and international sales.
